4 injured in alleged TTP attack in Zhob

Four men, including a tribal elder were injured in an armed attack carried out allegedly by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in Zhob bordering Waziristan, on Friday. According to reports, a group of armed men attacked the resident of a tribal leader Sardar Qaymo Kabzai with rockets and sophisticated weapons, injuring the tribal leader and three others including his son Sardar Saleem Kabzai. The report said one of the three attackers was also amongst the injured who were taken to hospital. Their condition was stated to be serious. The local administration rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area.
However, no arrest was made in this regard. Meanwhile, a man was killed and another seven were injured in two separate incidents of firing in Nushki and Quetta on Friday. Police officials said unidentified armed motorcyclists opened indiscriminate firing, killing Mohammad Iqbal and injuring Habibullah and Noor Ahmed. Police took the body to hospital and started investigations into the murder. In yet another firing incident, five people were injured in Hana Lake area. Police said unidentified armed men opened firing on a van that was on its way to Hana Lake.
