Industries across Punjab have to suffer as Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), on Wednesday, announced a halt in gas supply to the industrial stor due to a technical fault in Qadirpur Gas Field.
According to the general manager SNGPL, the decision to halt gas supply across the province was to ensure gas for CNG and domestic sector. “The gas field is suffering from a shortage of almost 400 million cubic feet,” he said.
Cement and textile industries would suffer the most from the shutdown, while the CNG sector could also be affected if the shutdown gets worst.
