Political pressure has increased on the Capital Development Authority (CDA) regarding the allotment of agro farms in the federal capital and the lobbying has accelerated for the purpose.
Reliable sources in the CDA told agencies that some individuals were using political pressure to get the allotment of agro farms in Islamabad in their name, adding a meeting of the Allotment Scrutiny Committee chaired by the CDA Member State Manager Khalid Mehmood Mirza was held the other day. A total of 20 cases were presented in the meeting in relation to the allotment of agro farms, among which five were selected to be forwarded to the CDA board, the source said.
The source informed that some 20 cases were rejected in the meeting while a few were kept on hold.
Member Planning Aziz Qureshi, Member Finance Javed Jehanger, DG Law Habib-ur-Rehman and Director Land and Rehabilitation Captain (Retd) Fareed-ud-Din also attended the meeting.
