Supply of the fuel for the police vehicles and motorcycles of all the police stations and pickets of Rawalpindi district has been suspended, creating problems for the police officials.
According to police sources, the fuel provided by the department to policemen has been stopped since one month and either the cops have to buy petrol or the vehicles remain parked in police stations.
The sources told INP the fuel is provided to DSPs and upper grade officials, while petrol supply of the vehicle and motorcycles of 28 police stations and 28 police pickets has been suspended for last one month.
This situation has lessened police patrolling in the district, putting the security of citizens under threat.
