Corps Commander seeks local notables help in ensuring peace and stability

Corps Commander 11 Corps Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani has emphasized upon the local notables to play their due role in ensuring peace and stability in their respective areas in cooperation with the security forces. He expressed these views while inaugurating Wana Institute of Technical Training (WITT) on Thursday.
The ceremony was attended by elders and notables of the South Waziristan and the parents of the students. Corps Commander also addressed a Jirga of elders and notables of South Waziristan Agency.
In his address, Lieutenant General Khalid Rabbani said that the establishment of WITT was a long – standing demand of the tribesmen and he hoped that this institute would go a long way in empowering the youth with the skills and tools of technical know how in various multi-dimensioned technical fields.
He emphasized upon the local notables to play their due role in ensuring peace and stability in their respective areas in cooperation with the security forces.
It is pertinent to mention that 120 local youth have been enrolled in the institute where they are imparted six months training by competent staff in the fields of computer, auto machines, auto electrician and domestic electrician.
Major General Nazir Ahmed Butt Commanding Officer Wana Division briefed the Corps Commander about various developments projects initiated by the army in various parts of South Waziristan.
