Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani will pay official visit to Russia next week signalling the possibility of a marked shift in Pakistan-Russia ties marred by the Cold War rivalry.
According to military sources, COAS Kayani will visit Russia in the first week of October where he is expected to meet the President of Russia along with other high officials.
Sources further added that Russian President Vladimir Putin had earlier postponed his visit to Islamabad.
Vladimir Putin was arriving to attend quadrilateral summit of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Russia and Pakistan in Islamabad which was scheduled on October 2, however his visit will have no impact on the visit of Army Chief to Russia next week in this regard.

I want kiayani's job. Tax payer paid expensive foreign trips, bullet proof cars, king maker, 2nd most corrupt person in Pakistan, millions in salary and no responsibility. WOW. If I start making a list of kiayani's failures, I would need a ledger. If he had any shame or honour, he would have resigned long time ago but I guess he does not want to stop feeding his family haram. kiayani is truly a disgrace to the noble profession of army. He is a traitor.
This incompetent general has it made. He has never taken any responsibility for anything but yet enjoys the perks on a king. I hope they try him for treason after his retirement. I'd enjoy watching his dead body hang from a tree.

kiayani, single handidly, has done more damage to Pakistan than any other person ever. The coward rides in bullet proof cars and travels on private/military jets. History will judge him to be a total failure and the most imompetent general to ever lead and army. This traitor should be hanged along with zardari, gillani, haqqani, isphahani,sharif family, altaf and his thugs. I apologize if I am not naming all of the jackasses.

I started to make a list of kiayani's failures but it would be like writing a book. Here are some highlights:
1. Accepted extension which closed doors for promotion for other able Generals.
2. Caused morale of the army to be at its lowest point ever.
3. Failed to secure borders of the country.
4. Foreign forces were able to penetrate all the way to Abbottabad under his watch.
5. Failed to hold one single person responsible (including himself) for the incident.
6. Failed to secure airspace of the country.
7. GHQ was attacked.
8 Naval base was attacked.
9. Airbase was attacked.
10. Allowed a traitor(haqqani) to get away.
11. Has stayed silent while the country is being destroyed.
12. Collects millions in pay while doing nothing.
13. Rumors of his corruption are making rounds in the army circles.
kiayani has failed his country in every sense of the word. He will be judged as the most incompetent General the world has ever known. If he had any honour or shame, he would have resigned long time ago.

The latest update of Islamabad: Pakistan foreign office on Thursday said that the first visit of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to Pakistan has been postponed.
However, despite the official statement, chatter in the diplomatic corps in Islamabad is that the Russian President has postponed his visit in the backdrop of violent protests in Pakistan over blasphemous film.
Unconfirmed reports also suggest that Russian embassy in Pakistan had already informed Foreign Office of Pakistan to be prepared over rescheduling of the visit after the protests.
One should understand how international signals are send through our killings and destruction of national image.
