Former Law Minister Babar Awan on Thursday once again sought unconditional apology from the Supreme Court during hearing of the contempt of court case against him.
The SC had taken suo moto action over a press conference in which Babar Awan allegedly ridiculed the apex court.
A two-judge bench, comprising Justice Ijaz Afzal and Justice Athar Saeed had been hearing the case until the last hearing. On Thursday, Justice Ijaz Chaudhry replaced Justice Athar Saeed and the court adjourned the hearing for indefinite period as Justice Chaudhry sought time to study the case.
Speaking to media outside the court, Babar Awan said that citizens’ lives were cheaper than Australian sick sheep in Karachi. He said that 3,000 people were killed in Karachi during the last two years.
