Interior Ministers’ Conference held under the umbrella of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has approved a resolution against the blasphemous American movie.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik had the privilege of presenting the resolution at the fifth meeting of the SAARC Home/Interior Ministers, which was inaugurated by Maldives Vice President Mohamed Waheed Deen at Bandos Island Resort, denouncing the movie.
In the resolution, Rehman Malik demanded of all the Muslim countries to frame laws for stopping blasphemy, as it harms the spirit of inter-faith harmony.
He condemned the inflammatory movie on behalf of the whole Muslim Ummah demanding action against those committing blasphemy.
Talking to the government-run television channel afterwards, Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik noted Pakistan is the only country that raised voice against the movie on the platform of United Nations.
