PTI to launch “Save Pakistan Fund”

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has decided to launch “Save Pakistan Fund” campaign to support its candidates for next elections who have not sufficient resources to run in the contest.
The PTI spokesperson said on Wednesday that the campaign would include party chariman Imran Khan appealing for donations in business centres and residential areas.
It should be mentioned that as the general election is drawing nearer, chairman PTI was under severe pressure from workers and leaders regarding giving tickets to educated youth.
The point, however, was raised while considering fielding educated youth that such people would lack financial resources to run election campaigns.
To solve this obstacle, Imran Khan and his close aides decided to run countrywide fundraising campaign once process of finalizing PTI candidates is completed.
The money collected through the campaign would be used for candidates with weak financial background. But the support would be provided in terms of material like banners, pamphlets, transport and other logistic resources instead of giving hard cash.
PTI insiders have also insisted that their party has made advancement in seat-to-seat adjustment with political and religious party Jamaat-e-Islami.

    Good initiative PTI, at least this campaign will stand out and not a “qarz utaro mulk sanwaro” type campaign for money laundering.

    • I am sure you belong to the elite, you do not give a damn about the situation in pak and the condition about poor people. Wait and watch how many people will contribute, its gonna be another slap on your f aces, like you had on 30th October, one when SKMH zakat went up after the allegation, when Ik let some politicians go intead of blackmail.

  21. If PTI gives a good chunk of tickets to educated sensible individuals with a reasonable work experience one can hope something good coming ot of elections and good for Pakistan.

    May I say that I have heard of similar efforts of asking donations in the name of Pakistan before; it simply does not work.

    • Keep it up guys, I do not live in Pakistan but i swear to God i will contribute, I live abroad and i can tell you how passionate we r about the election. It is up to us now to spread the PTI message.

  32. Imran Khan mentioned this idea about a year ago. I don't think he would have any problem collecting political funding with his impeccable integrity. If you cannot contribute financially, volunteer and help out by giving your time. There are many ways to get involved. It is Pakistan's fight for survival and you have to contribute to help people who are sincere to Pakistan. That's the least we can do.

  34. before pointing to Imran for this, atleast he is honest and all parties need donations just like all around the world. Wonder why PML and PPP never need or ask donations? 1. they ask huge sums for tickets, 2. they use government money for elections – main reason behind PML not walking out of government in Punjab, same goes for PPP.

    So honest person does the normal thing to prop up and help the poor but good candidates!
