PM lauds police’s role during protests

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences hospital and inquired about the health of cops of the Islamabad police who got injured while maintaining law and order situation in the city during the protests. The PM also directed the hospital administration to provide the best treatment facilities to the cops and also announced prizes for the gallant cops. He also appreciated the efforts of the Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan and said that an effective strategy of the Islamabad police helped to maintain the law and order situation in the city during the protests. The Islamabad IGP thanked the PM for his special visit to inquire about the health of the cops and said that the Islamabad police would leave no stone unturned to ensure effective policing in the city.
