CJP urges actualizing vision of expeditious, inexpensive justice

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has urged the legal fraternity to unite all their efforts to actualize the vision of expeditious and inexpensive justice.
Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said this while talking to a 04-member delegation of Tandlianwala Bar Association headed by Mehar Allahyar Sial and other office bearers who called on him here Wednesday in Supreme Court Building, Islamabad.
Extolling the services rendered by legal fraternity for their profession and for Rule of law in society, the Chief Justice said that Bars played a vital role for the cause of independence of judiciary, supremacy of constitution and rule of law in our country. Their services and sacrifice will always be remembered and will be guiding the new generations to stand by the judiciary in time of need.
The delegation appreciated the role and commitment by the superior judiciary especially by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take revolutionary steps under Constitution for the betterment of judiciary and eradication of corruption and praised the efforts and struggle of the Chief Justice for enhancing the public confidence in judiciary.
The members of Bar also assured their full support and co-operation to bring about improvements in the dispensation of justice.
They invited the Chief Justice to visit Tandlianwala Bar which he accepted.

  1. CJ is the biggest culprit himself. He drags cases on for years before he takes them up or renders a verdict and he is preaching expediating cases. What a joke. Some of the most important cases have been delayed because he keeps giving govt more time to come up with a "solution". Why doesn't he grow a pair and implement the law? Either he has sold out or he is a coward.

  2. Talk of expeditious and inexpensive justice by CJ seems to be a joke. Malik Riaz could not get justice even after having paid Rs 345 millions to him through Arsalan.
