The Lahore High Court (LHC) sought a reply from Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) Member National Assembly (MNA) Salman Mohsin on a plea to disqualify him from the National Assembly. Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh passed the orders on a plea filed by Naseem Hotiana who contested the 2008 general elections against the MNA. STAFF REPORT
The petitioner told the court that MNA Salman had won election from NA-165, Pakpattan, however his Bachelors degree was declared fake by the Election Commission. He pleaded the court to declare the MNA disqualified from his seat in NA for abrogating the constitutional provisions.
The court has also sought para-wise comments from deputy election commissioner, Sahiwal Division, on the matter.
