Pakistan can benefit from growing Brazilian economy: Ambassador

Ambassador of Brazil to Pakistan, Alfredo Leoni has said Pakistan can benefit from the growing Brazilian economy by initiating bilateral trade, and mutual cooperation on development projects.
During his visit to the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, on Tuesday, he informed the Rector Major Gen (Retd.) Masood Hassan and the Director General NUML, Brig Azam Jamal that there is room to improve upon mutual cooperation and bilateral relations.
He said that a little more interaction and collaboration between Pakistan and Brazil could benefit the peoples of both the countries economically, politically and diplomatically.
Alfredo said that Brazil looks for educational cooperation, including the granting of scholarships and placements in prestigious Brazilian universities for students and scholars of Pakistan, and cultural exchanges.
He also emphasised that Brazilian Government and Embassy are ready to provide every type of support for the establishment of Portuguese language department at NUML to cater the need of the people who want to study Portuguese and want to know Brazilian society and culture.
Rector NUML Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan told the visiting ambassador that it is a proud privilege that Brazilian Govt and Embassy have shown their interest in developing collaboration with NUML and want to invest towards the cause of better education in Pakistan.
Rector NUML, Hassan also briefed the ambassador about the University, its regional campuses and courses, which are offered by the University.
In the end Rector NUML presented university shield and a gift to Brazilian Ambassador Alfredo Leoni and expressed his gratitude for his visit to the university.
