Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has warned the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led government to part way from coalition government as it has not kept its promises despite assurances.
In a statement issued by coordination committee of MQM on Tuesday, it said that keeping in view the ongoing scenario it seems to be impossible to stand by the PPP-led coalition government.
“MQM always stood firm with PPP in critical times but it has taken our sincerity as weakness.”
The committee also warned that if their demands are not met within three days, the MQM would prefer to sit on Opposition benches.
It was also said that the MQM would favour the government decisions that would be taken in national interests.
On the other hand Bilawal House spokesperson said that no political party of the coalition was going to quit.
After MQM warning and reservations of Awami National Party (ANP) over Sindh People Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO), PPP has accelerated efforts to cool down the coalition partners and party MNAs, MPAs and other office bearers have been tasked to increase contacts with the leaders of the two annoyed parties.

  1. Nice move …. This is another cover drive from Zardari. A good strategy from coalition partners. MQM will sit in oposition in centre and will undermine the PML(N) efforts on caretaker set up …… Geyae Bhutto

  2. So now MQM does not want to "protect" democracy… Someone please tell them that if they came out of the govt. then jamhuriat khatray mein par jaye gi…

  3. Election Plan!
'Be the most influential partner in the government' all the time but as the elections approach, goes to the voters as 'disadvantaged opposition'. Never-ending 'tamasha' (spectacle) of Pakistani politics. The sad part is that the people fall for such dramas.

  4. GOOD KHOB TENSION DOO ZARDARI KOO AIK TARAF IS KA BETA HINA KO PHANSA RAHA HAY DOSRI TARAF AB MQM NAY BHI NAK MAY DUM KAR KAY RAKH DIA HAY,……….
