The authorities have still not paid the fare of the containers brought on the “Youm-e-Ishq-Rasool (PBUH)” to stop the protestors from entering into the Red Zone area, which has caused millions of rupees loss to the container owners.
A large number of demonstrators protested against the American blasphemous movie on Friday. The Islamabad police placed many containers to block the roads leading to the Red Zone and the Diplomatic Enclave to stop the protesters from entering the area. Some of the containers were also damaged by the enraged demonstrators. The owners of the containers had to face the loss of the damages as the civic administration had not yet paid the rent for the containers. According to the owners of the containers, the civic authorities had promised to pay a fair price for the containers but they had not paid the fare yet despite many requests by the owners. Moreover, some owners complained that their containers had not been returned to them.
The owners of the containers had demanded of the higher authorities to take notice of the situation and urged them to bind the civic authorities to pay the fare for the containers and cover up the damage cost.
anti-Islam film shameless act: Paul Bhatti: The All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) Chairman and advisor to the Prime Minister on Inter-Faith Harmony Dr. J Paul Bhatti while addressing a peaceful rally of APMA on Sunday has said that the American anti-Islam movie is a shameless and disgusting act and its only objective is to ruin the world peace. Addressing the rally, he said that the minorities residing in Pakistan not only condemned the conspiracy but also demanded of the international community to play their role in this regard. “We would not let the conspiracy create a divide between Muslims and minorities in the country. We equally feel the pain of the Muslim community across the globe on the American profane film,” he said.
He further said that the provoking film was actually a conspiracy against the 1.5 billion Muslims and the makers of such films neither belonged to any religion nor to the humanity at large. He said he would attend a meeting in the United Nations (UN) soon where he would put forward his two-point vision. According to the strategy, steps should be taken to stop the incidents of acts against any religion and an international inter-faith harmony committee must be formed under the UN having representatives from all the religions of the world.
