On the instructions of Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt‚ PAF Helicopters are being used for aerial drop of dry ration and raft boats and for distribution of relief goods. Approximately seventy thousand kilograms (70‚000 Kgs) of ration containing essential food items and clean drinking water has been distributed in these areas. Field and mobile hospitals have also been established at Jacobabad‚ Sukkur and Rajanpur‚ where PAF doctors and para-medical staff are providing free medical treatment and medicines to the calamity stricken people of these areas.
One should give credit to Mr Raja tat atleast he has taken the trouble to take notice of the flood affected people in Sindh. This is unlike his predecessor Mr Gilani who never bothered as if he is PM of only Islamabad not the country.
The incumbent PM should take notice of deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi. I am sure he is aware that an ethnic party to whose headquarters he paid visit recently was behind target killings and extortion.
