It has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court regarding the expected extension in service of Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, media reported.
A private TV channel on Sunday reported that the filed petition in the IHC pointed that the age of the incumbent COAS has crossed 60 years, on April 20, 2012 he was of 60 years.
If the government would extend his service then it will unconstitutional and illegal, therefore, the COAS should be removed from his position, the petition explained.
Chief Justice IHC Iqbal Hameed ur Rehman will hear the proceeding of the filed petition against the COAS about extension in service.
General Kayani has served with respect and dignity and must retire serving Pakistan Army with respect and dignity.
Pakistan needs men with experience, men of high caliber. If he wishes to serve Pakistan Gen Kayani may join a political party and enter national politics. He will be respected like Gen Eisenhower who was President of USA from 1953 to 1961 and was succeeded by John F Kannedy.
In case Gen Kayani does not head the advice he will end up like Aitazaz Ahsan who is a much despised and hated figure in Pakistan of today.

This was same kind of genuine objection on our COAS that was made by Brig ali who are now facing courtmartial charges along with 4 military officers.Instead of him it was Kiayni who should have been courtmartialed for his poor performance as chief and our poltical cartoon Gillan given him extension and then face humialtion in his office. If he would have quit office by not granting him this extension as it was unconstitutional and illegal he become hero but he justt signed to stick to this PM seat and made revenge to democracy.
Why PT is so critcal to hear comments against army and its generals???kindly make it clear otherwise we have full right to say that this is miltiary controlled website.
