Citizens deprived of cash, valuables in various hits

Criminals ruled the roost in the provincial capital on Saturday, amassing millions of rupees in more than a dozen incidents of robberies.
Per details, robbers broke into the house of Raza Haider, a resident of Shahdra and took jewelry, mobile phones, cash and other valuables worth Rs 800,000.
Asad Javed of Iqbal Town had to part with jewelry and cash worth Rs 700,000, while Faheem of Hadyara was robbed of jewelry, mobile phones and cash worth Rs 500,000.
Robbers broke into the house of Waleed Abbas in Model Town and fled with jewelry, cash and electrical gadgets worth Rs 400, 000. Nazar Khan of Lohari was looted of goods worth Rs 300, 000 in a heist at his house.
Qadeer of Cantt and Amir of Islampura had to part with goods worth Rs 200, 000 each at the hands of robbers.
Robbers looted jewelry, mobile phones and other goods worth Rs 100, 000 each from Rashid’s house in Manawan Town and Ihsan’s residence in Ghaziabad.
Two shops, one in Badami Bagh and one in Kot Lakhpat areas were robbed of Rs 200,000 in cash each.
Cars were stolen from Race Course, Gulshan-e-Ravi and Naseerabad areas of the city. Motorcycles were stolen from Mozang, Bhaati Gate, Lower Mall and Liaqatabad.
ENCOUNTER: Meanwhile, Green Town police shot and injured a suspected robber while his two accomplices managed to escape after a brief encounter.
Per details, the Muhafiz Squad of Green Town Police had set up a picket when they stopped three men riding a motorcycle to stop for checking. The motorcyclists opened fire on the police team, which returned fire. A man, later identified as Shahbaz of Green Town, received two bullets in his leg and fell off the bike while his two accomplices fled the scene.
Police sources said that efforts were being made to trace the absconding criminals and a case would be registered against the injured criminal after investigation.
