Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) member of National Assembly (MNA) Riaz Hussain Pirzada has decided to contest the forthcoming general elections from the platform of PML-Nawaz (PML-N).
Sources said that Pirzada resigned from the ministry and his PML-Q membership following a controversy over some important issues with party leaders. After his resignation, the PML-N started contacting Pirzada, and that he would soon have a meeting with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif. Talking to Online, Pirzada confirmed that he was in contact with the PML-N and that he wanted all PML factions to unite for the general elections. Replying to a question, he said that he had not yet called on Nawaz Sharif, but would have a meeting with the PML-N chief soon.
On the issue of new provinces, he said that the movement for Bahawalpur province had been sabotaged by raising the slogan of Seraiki province despite the fact that the dwellers of the Seraiki belt had remained prime minister, chief minister and governor. Pirzada said he would not resign from his assembly seat until the legislature was dissolved.
