Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Dr Farooq Sattar said Wednesday that the foreign remittances and investment in the country by overseas played a vital role in stabilizing the economy of Pakistan. Talking to APP, he said the overseas Pakistanis were a great asset of the country, who have assisted Pakistan and government is taking several steps for their welfare. To a question he said MQM had been playing its leading role to make Pakistan an enlightened, liberal and welfare state. Dr Farooq Sattar said that a stable Pakistan was in the best interest of the world adding that the people in Pakistan must be empowered to play an effective role.
