On the directives of the Rawal Town Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa, the Rawal Town Municipal Administration (RTMA) will conduct a survey to check fire safety measures in the marriage halls of the city.
The administrator said that a survey was directed as the civic body had no record of the marriage halls and the status of their fire safety measures.
“A large number of people gather in the halls during marriage ceremonies and there should be proper fire safety equipment and emergency exit doors in case of fire incidents”, he added.
It should be mentioned here that the RTMA also completed the survey of industrial units in the city and found more than 300 industrial units in the 46 union councils of the city lacking proper security measures.
