Peshawar High Court has asked the government to provide details of people killed in drone attacks till the 23rd of October.
During hearing of a petition against drone attacks here on Wednesday, the two member bench of the PHC comprising Chief Justice Dost Mohammad and Justice Irshad Qaiser observed that the court be informed about how many innocent people have been killed in the drone attacks.
Additional Political Agent, North Waziristan Zaheeruddin Babar appeared before the court and submitted that Political Agent cannot move with army’s security as there are serious threats to his life. He further said that no detailed report has been prepared about drone attacks.
Babar said the political agent wants to meet the Chief Justice in his Chamber but CJ Dost Mohammad said he does not meet any one in the chamber the Political Agent will have to appear in the court.
The hearing was then adjourned till 23rd October.
