Sindh Local Bodies Minister Agha Siraj Durrani on Tuesday said the current officers present in towns will function as the administrators in the local government system in the province.
Talking exclusively to a private TV channel, the local bodies minister said he had issued directives to the secretary local governments for the appointment of officers under the Sindh People’s Local Governments Ordinance (SPLGO) 2012.
Ruling out the appointment of political administrators in the local bodies set up, Durrani noted that the present town officers will work as the administrators.
Responding a query over the devastations wrought by the recent flash floods, Durrani said the large-scale destruction was spawned by out-of-season downpours.
