JI Karachi chief placed under house arrest

Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi faction, Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, along with 25 party activists were arrested by police in Karachi, in order to foil a strike call on Wednesday over the killing of former Town Nazim Pervez Mahmud.
According to police, Mehanti was arrested near Guru Mandar area of Karachi and was shifted to Soldier Bazar police station.
However, DSP Qaiser Ali said that the JI leader has been released due to his unstable health condition and he was placed under house arrest.
The police also raided in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Shah Faisal Colony, North Nazimabad, Liaquatabad and other areas of the city and arrested several party workers.

  1. Shame on the government to come hard on those parties who are protesting the murder of their activists by thugs which are sitting with them in the coalition.

    For how long this ridiculous policy of reconciliation will continue??

    Why is that Sindh should continue to suffer at the hands of blackmailers and terrorists?
