Taking notice of the incidents of theft in the Parliament Lodges, the Deputy Chairman of the Senate Senator Sabir Baloch has directed the security officials to deal with the thieves with an iron fist. In the meeting, headed by the deputy chairman of the committee, the committee termed the absence of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and other officials in the meeting as careless attitude of the CDA officials and requested the ministry concerned to take strict action against the CDA. The members of the committee said that a show cause notice would also be issued against the absentees. Kalsoom Parveen, a member of the committee said that the security of the Parliament Lodges was very poor and the incidents of theft had been happening every now and then. She further said that such incidents could not happen without the connivance of the CDA staff. In the meeting, Haji Adeel said that an air conditioner had been stolen from his room, which could not be done by one person.
