BQATI annual general meeting held

President of Bin Qasim Association of Trade & Industry (BQATI) Usman Ahmed said that Bin Qasim is the only industrial zone of Pakistan which has planned and organised industrial zone and “if the government gave little attention, it could be made a model industrial zone of Pakistan.”
Usman Ahmed was addressing the well-attended annual general meeting (AGM) of BQATI held at The Enterprise Facility, RAAZIQ International Auditorium at Port Qasim Industrial Zone, Karachi.
BQATI is the primary forum for these organizations to collaborate and address issues or challenges faced by them in carrying out their operations, he said.
“BQATI enjoys a very cordial and supportive relationship with PQA, which is mutually beneficial to both entities and contributes positively to the overall economic activity of the region. In fact, the role of the industries located at Port Qasim Industrial Zones and that of PQA in the economic growth of the country cannot be overstated”, he said.
On the occasion Mian Muhammed Patron In-chief briefed that the BQATI is actively pursuing to implement effective security measures for Bin Qasim Industrial Zones, in collaboration with the PQA, Pakistan Rangers, Police, and CPLC.
“These measures include setting up of security check posts at key locations, establishing Security Command & Control Centre in the three zones of Bin Qasim Area where Rangers, CPLC and Private Security personnel will be deployed, establishing of CCTV cameras including other communication networks and comprehensive patrolling of entire zone”, he said.
Abdul Rasheed Jan Muhammed Vice President, BQATI thanked and welcomed all BQATI members who attended the AGM meeting, hoped that the newly elected managing committee will work together to achieve the BQATI objectives and goals to create a business friendly industrial zone, Mr. Naveed Shakoor, Chairman Law & Order Advisory sub Committee also spoke at the meeting.
Last date for admissions in LUMHS: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Science (LUMHS) Jamshoro has announced that the last date for the submission of application forms for Admission in MBBS and BDS courses (session 2012-2013) has been extended for three days.
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday it further informed that the admission forms can be submitted in the concerned offices of TCS up to September 20.
