All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has rejected Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s allegation that nuclear technology was transferred on the orders of Benazir Bhutto.
In a statement issued here from central information secretariat, Aasia Ishaque, Central Secretary Information said that the Prime Minister has not any role in nuclear proliferation.
She said that earlier, Abdul Qadeer Khan had leveled allegations against Pervez Mushrraf and now he is speaking against Benazir Bhutto.
She said that former President Pervez Musharraf had always secured the country’s nuclear technology from the external elements but Dr. Qadeer alleged him for transferring the technology to other countries. She said that Pervez Musharraf was only ruler who had guaranteed defense and security of nuclear technology.
Aasia Ishaque said that APML chief had made strenuous endeavors for peace, development and prosperity in the world, especially in the Muslim countries.
She said that A Q Khan’s assertion is a belated and desperate attempt to wash the guilt of proliferating nuclear weapons by associating the name of Benazir Bhutto to lend a semblance of respectability to a crime that brought huge embarrassment to and inflicted incalculable damage on Pakistan, she added.
