Air Force van targeted, blast kills 10 in Peshawar

At least 10 people were killed, over a dozen including women and children injured in a blast in Peshawar, officials said on Wednesday.
Local police said that the blast took place in Bud Bair area near Scheme Chowk on Kohat Road, adding that Pakistan Air Force vehicle was a target in the blast.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured and bodies to Leady Reading Hospital. “The injured also include children and women,” hospital officials said.
“The explosive, planted in a vehicle, blew up with a bang when the Air Force van was passing near it, another vehicle and six shops situate at the square have also damaged in the blast,” the police officials said.
Blasts and other terror attacks increased in recent days in northwest areas of the country.
