Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Chairman Rao Qamar Suleman resigned from his post on Tuesday, source said.
“After the resignation of Suleman, who has been on sick leaves for past few weeks, DMG captain Javed Younis has been appointed as acting chairman of the PIA,” media reports said quoting sources.
Suleman, the former Pakistan Air Force chief, was appointed as the chairman and chief executives officer (CEO) of the country’s national airlines in May this year.
PIA spokesperson Sultan Hassan has confirmed Rao’s resignation however he did not reveal the reason behind this decision.
Sources said that Rao decided to step down from the hot seat because of illness while some other sources claimed that he had differences with defense ministry.

  1. That man was our air force chief when Abboatabd and salala attacks were happened on our soil. The duration of these attacks were more than 2 hours but our self claimed air force and air defence under his control looked paralyzed or static surly by his orders. So instead of being court martial ed he was awarded with another lucrative post to honor this work for western masters and his duty for his men and nation.
It is good he felt some humiliation through this civilian post.

  2. The person who cant understand the Position and where need to serve surely need to submit resignation. Gud chief
