Air Traffic was suspended at Benazir International Airport and flood alert was given to areas around Nullah Lai after heavy downpours in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Water level in Nullal Lai had reached 11 feet yesterday night and a flood warning was issued as the danger level in Nullah Lai is 20 feet.
Twin cities had received 75 millimeter of rainfall when this report was filed. Due to hours-long downpour‚ flight operations at Benazir Bhutto International Airport were also suspended. Heavy rains are expected today in several areas of upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
