Website Youtube to be blocked in Pakistan

The Federal Government has decided to take strict action against publication of blasphemed, obstinate materials and movies on social web sites.
While the ministry wide committee has recommended blocking the social site youtube across Pakistan over the publication of blasphemed film.
Sources told Online on Monday that the Prime Minister took notice and has sought the report of unblocking of youtube in Pakistan after the release of the blasphemy move.
Farther more the source said that the ministry wide committed has formed recommendations to stop the publication of blasphemed and obstinate materials and movies on the social web sites. The first recommendation is to block the youtube web site.
The recommendations have sent to the Prime Minster for approval, and after the approval youtube would be blocked across the country.

    • If one page in a book is not printed incorrectly, does it mean the whole book is bad? Have some common sense: It wasn't YouTube's or America's fault the video was uploaded. You can blame a few people who helped in the production of the video but you can't just ask Allah to kill all (approximately) 32 hundred million americans. Remember, there are muslims in the USA too. Oh, and the person responsible for the video was not actually American: He was Egyptian and just a legal American citizen. Yes, I agree that the video was extremely blasphemous but don't just tell Allah to kill so many people! It'll be as if YOU murdered them all yourself. Anyway, I'm not getting into that discussion, it's between you and Allah. I wouldn't want all the people in your "amerca" to die for something they weren't responsible for even though I'd like the GOVERNMENT of America to tke some positive action against the video.

    • As many Muslim countries including Pakistani users have been using other websites for sharing videos and downloading videos. They continuously, spreading a message saying "Don't Use YouTube Any More". Apart from YouTube, Muslims also refuse to Use Google; and that is a fact because Google's Alexa ranking has dropped dramatically, Now Google is no longer #1 website. The #1 position has been dominated by Facebook. Google is now #2. So if Google keeps to deny Pakistani request for removal of that movie then it might lose its ranking further more. isn't that a sufficient loss of Google.

    • @ Hira Fatima i think its the right step in right direction, we should appreciate it as by this we are teaching them a good lesson if you can do this we will block you all over the country as other countries are doing and by doing this we can give threat to their economy to the revenue generated by these sites, Pakistan is among those countries which were the source of highly revenue generation by these sites and i am100% sure that blocking these sites in pakistan they will be very upset.

If in reaction the non Muslims would start campaign of ousting Muslims from their land or community then what would we feel here.Along with gaining aggressive impression we are endangering thousands of Muslims families who are living in harsh conditions for their bread and butter but I think those who are creating riots for others planned stupidities are unaware of such apprehensions.

    • Well said. If Prophet Mohammad (S) was still alive, he (S) would have told us to let it go and deal with the problem with patience and a little humanity. Still we forget his teachings to "protect" his (S) name and destroy property. Forgetting his teachings is like disrespecting him (at leats, that's what I think).     You block something to prevent access. So if we don't have access to YouTube we will not watch that video? We're not the ones watching and enjoying it to begin with, this stupid Zardari Administration needs to understand that. Blocking it does nothing at all. Solution — educate the masses not to burn our home to try and hurt somebody/people far away! Give them an outlet to voice their dismay. Perhaps somebody in the government should make a 1 minute (no more) video to the international community (which we should make viral) condemning the blasphemous video.   58. YouTube should be restored ASAP. Blocking this website is our loss. Doesn't bother them at all. It also shows how easily people can manipulate us. We become puppets in the hands of a few amateur cartoonists and movie makers. Banning such websites, shows our immaturity. It also reflects on our insecurity of our religion.   79. Pakistan really has overreacted to the video. It’s not like Muslims everywhere are going to go on the link and see the movie the americans have made are they? We should have just blocked the link for that video. Anyways, what is the point of it if the block an entire website just because
     of 1 video? There are proxies for these sites. It just opens up more curiosity for people to search these proxies for the videos on why there is a huge fuss on it. YouTube should be open because it also helps Islam. Muslim scholars post videos on it that help us get to the right path. When YouTube was blocked so were these. So basically the government is stopping most of our online Islamic education
