The Rawal Town Municipal Authority (RTMA) has refused to release salaries to the Garden Branch staff that has been transferred to the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), which is causing great concern among the gardeners.
Sources told agencies that the issue of salaries of the PHA employees had resurfaced as the Town Municipal Authority (TMA) had written to the PHA management informing them that they would not give salaries to the gardeners, despite the fact that it was settled that the RTMA would pay the gardeners of the PHA till the end of the current fiscal year. Moreover, the gardeners of the PHA who had completed their service period were still awaiting retirement orders, pension and gratuity as their files were still pending with the TMA.
