PM announces Rs2 bln package for rain‚ flood affectees of Sindh

The Prime Minister who visited rain and flood hit areas of the province on Sunday directed to immediately release seven hundred and ten million rupees for the relief to flood affected persons.
He directed to arrange twenty five thousand tents for the shelter of people rendered homeless due to rains.
Of this package‚ two hundred million rupees each have been earmarked for Kashmore and Jacobabad‚ one hundred million rupees each for Sukkur and Mirpur and seventy million for Ghotki.
The Prime Minister said there should be no discrimination in the disbursement of funds and every child‚ woman and old person should be provided assistance in the affected areas.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said South Punjab and Balochistan will be given an equal relief package.
He appreciated the role of army and provincial government in relief activities.
