An investigation officer was beaten by the mother of an accused drug vendor.
Sher Zada, was arrested by the police on charges of carrying 100 grams of cannabis. He was produced before a judicial magistrate on Saturday. A brawl took place between police and family members of Sher at the court. Sher’s mother thrashed the investigation officer, accusing him of registering a false case against her son. She has also filed a complaint against him of not releasing her son despite taking Rs 30,000 as bribe bribe.
However, Investigation Officer Munawar Ahmed said that the accused has a history of drug-related arrests. He said that Sher Zada had been arrested several times in dozens of drug cases.
