Woman killed by brother, robbers break into house

A woman was gunned down by her brother while two robbers looted cash and valuables worth millions of rupees from a house on Friday.
In Sundar Colony, a man identified as Mansha gunned his sister over a marital dispute and fled.
Reportedly, Rehana had lost her brother’s favor when she left her second husband a few days ago. Neighbors said that they used to hear shouting between the siblings daily and on Friday, the shouts were followed by gun shots.
The neighbors rushed to inquire about the matter but found Rehana badly wounded and lying unconscious on the floor. She was rushed to the hospital where she expired. The body has been shifted to the morgue for post mortem and an FIR No. 242/12 has been registered against Mansha by his father Shaukat. Police has started conducting raids to arrest the murderer.
In the robbery in Sabzazar police precincts, two robbers forced their way into Muhammad Asghar’s house and held two female members of the family hostage at gunpoint.
They made off with 30 tolas of gold, thousands of rupees in cash, mobile phones, a laptop and other valuables. The police reached the spot after repeated phone calls. In another incident, a 60-year-old woman was run over by a reckless driver at Rang Mehal. According to shop owners in the area, the woman was mentally challenged and used to beg to sustain herself.
She was hit by a speeding car and was badly injured. Locals rushed her to Mayo Hospital; where doctors pronounced her dead. The Rang Mehal SHO said that the driver would be arrested soon as witnesses had noted down the registration number of the car.
