President Pakistan Muslim League-N, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that profane film that presents a distorted view of Islam, was a highly deplorable and provocative step.
In his recent statement, he said that this despicable film was not only heart-wrenching for the Muslims of the world, but also a great setback to the humanism, which believes in peace, goodwill and mutual respect.
He said, that not only Islam, but also all the religions of the world, preached the lesson of respecting religious personalities and sacred signs, citing the fundamental teachings of Islam and Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), which were based on mutual brotherhood and tolerance.
Nawaz hoped that all nations, which believe in humanism, peace and mutual goodwill should strongly discourage such nefarious acts that injure the feelings of others, or help promote extremism.
