Expressing sorrow over the loss of lives in the two metropolis of Pakistan due to fire, US Counsul General Nina Fite issued a public statement stating that “On behalf of the US Consulate General in Lahore and the American people, I would like to offer our deepest condolences to the victims of the tragic garment factory fire in Karachi and the shoe factory fire in Lahore that together claimed so many innocent lives. We extend our sympathies to the families who lost loved ones, to the injured and to all those who have been touched by this tragedy.”
