A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court against illegal factories constructed in residential areas. The petition was filed by Pakistan Mazdoor Ittihad through Advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhry and submitted that many factories had been constructed in residential areas with the convenience of administration across Punjab. He contended that such factories were not only constructed illegally but labourers also did not have any safety against accidents in these factories. The petitioner pleaded the court to issue stay order against such factories. He also pleaded the court to issue directions for judicial inquiry into accidents occurred in such factories to determine the responsible.
