Valuables and cash worth millions of rupees were looted in the city on Thursday in various incidents, whereas a man was killed while two women were injured for resisting the criminals. According to details, a robber snatched a mobile phone and cash from Sameena in the Mughalpura police precincts and injured her with a sharp-edged weapon as he fled from the scene. Just after half an hour, another woman was robbed and injured by a robber in the Shalimar area, who fled after snatching her mobile phone and money. Police suspect that both robberies were carried out by the same man.
Criminals robbed another citizen named Asghar in the Kot Lakhpat area and made away with cash and valuables worth Rs 1.3 million and other valuables. In another incident, Mudassar was deprived of his car and other valuables in the Johar Town police precincts. Asad Butt and his family members were looted in Satukulta, Prof Nisar Shah Gillani was deprived of his valuables in Nishtar Colony, Yousaf Raza was robbed in Liaquatabad, Shahzad was deprived of his belongings in Gujarpur, Arif Hameed’s house was looted in Factory Area while Zeeshan and Ijaz were deprived of their car in the Cantonment area. At least 12 motorcycles were snatched or stolen from various areas of the city.
