PML-N leader Choudhary Nisar, who is also the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, said on Thursday that he has sent names of seven prominent personalities to the heads of various political parties to arrive at a consensus candidate for the slot of caretaker prime minister.
He said that his party has consulted with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as well over the caretaker set up, adding the PTI had sent the names of Razzak Daud and Shoaib Suddle for the caretaker premiership.
Nisar refused to divulge the names of the candidates but said that all are respected personalities.
PML-N leader said that his party will take into confidence all the other opposition parties before sending final two names to the federal government.
“If the government agrees to a names suggested by uS, it would be fine otherwise the Election Commission will make the decision,” he added.
