1 dead, 3 injured in Quetta blast

One man was killed and another three got injured when a bomb went off in Quetta on Wednesday. SHO Saleem Shawani said a mobile police vehicle was the target of attack. However, he said the bomb exploded before the police vehicle arrived at the spot in Sariab mill area where the bicycle to which the explosives were attached was parked. Dasht Assistant Commissioner Naseer Jattak who was in the official vehicle remained safe but the vehicle was completely destroyed.
Four men were injured in the blast of which two whose condition was serious were taken to hospital. One, identified as Zafar Iqbal, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The other three injured were identified as Mohammad Anwar, Abdul Qadir and Mohammad Ismail. Anwar’s condition was still stated to be serious. No group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
