Cases of alleged corruption, extortion and favoritism in Purchase Department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences have surfaced. Sources said Director Purchase Department, Dr Anjum, Deputy Director, Chaudhary Waris Ali Raza and sub-engineer, MCH, Shibli Razzaq are allegedly involved in bribing inexperienced firms and granting them contracts. It has been reported that the abovementioned mafia takes Rs 3 million for giving away projects.
