The students of Greenwich University in collaboration with Sindh traffic police and Rotary club has launched a three-day campaign to raise awareness regarding road safety and polio immunization in various areas of Karachi.
An official of the institution said here on Tuesday that on the first day of the drive, a batch of 65 students distributed leaflets and brochures among the people near the round about of Teen Talwar.
He said the students along with the officials of traffic police asked the motorists and motor cyclists to strictly follow the traffic rules and regulations, as it is in their own interest.
They guided the pedestrians to follow the safety rules in order to reduce the incidents of accidents. People were told that by challans and fines traffic rules violation will never stop, it can only happen by strictly following traffic rules and regulations.
The students also displayed banners in which slogans about road safety and traffic rules were highlighted. As the three day National Immunization for Polio is currently in progress across Pakistan, the students told the people for giving polio drops to their children so that Pakistan can become polio free country.
