Yemen’s Defence Minister Mohammed Nasser Ahmed survived a car bomb attack on Tuesday that targeted his convoy near the government headquarters, but seven guards were killed, a security official said.
“The defence minister was the target,” said the official, adding that the blast took place near the car carrying guards, killing seven of them.
