Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Monday said that the defense of Pakistan is unbeatable and the world appreciates the sacrifices of the country in the ongoing war on terror.
He said this while delivering a lecture at the Pakistan Air War College (AWC), Karachi. The Minister stated that the security forces of the country had laid down their lives for the defense and security of the official borders.
While talking about the ongoing war against terrorism and the role of Pakistan as a frontline state, Malik said that Pakistan sacrificed more than 40,000 lives in the war on terror and the world should remember the unmatchable sacrifices of this brave nation.
He said that anti-state and external forces had been fanning the menace of terrorism in the country, adding that the government would end all the nefarious schemes of the enemies.
Malik also said that Pakistan had the intention of maintaining cordial relations with its neighboring countries.
Earlier, the minister met with the AWC Commandant Azhar Hassan.
4 persons awarded for the deepening friendship with Japan

On the occasion of a farewell reception for Mr Masaharu Sato, Consul General of Japan on Saturday (8th September), he presented certificates of merit to four persons to recognize their distinguished service of contributing to the deepening friendship between Pakistan and Japan.
The recipients included Mr Abdul Kader Jaffer, former Chairman of Pakistan Japan Business Forum; Mr Mohammad Azmat Shigeyuki Ataka, Vice President of Pakistan Japan Cultural Association, Sindh (PJCA); Mrs Sadia Rashid, President of PJCA; and Dr Moinuddin Aqeel, former Visiting Professor of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Mr Abdul Jaffer had been the President of Pakistan Japan Business Forum for more than six years and contributed to furthering business between the industrial and business communities of two countries and strengthening mutual understanding. This year, he also initiated an event to celebrate the 60 year anniversary of diplomatic relation between Pakistan and Japan.
