An anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Rawalpindi on Monday acquitted 21 people, including former Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Aziz in the murder case of a Rangers official.
The verdict was announced by ATC Judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman. Aziz along with his 21 companions and family members was booked in the case after the Lal Masjid military operation in Islamabad in 2007. Moreover, the court also issued arrest warrants for four of the accused in Rangers murder case. One of the accused, Khalid Khawaja, a former ISI officer, has been killed by militants.
Abdul Rashid Ghazi and dozens of others were killed during the operation as Aziz had refused to surrender.
“Today, Allah almighty has awarded us with another success and court verdict has proved that Pervez Musharraf’s allegations were wrong,” Aziz told reporters outside the court.

  1. These elements have immunity under the leadership of their God Fathers in our system. Punishment is only for the democratic forces and their leadership.

  2. Another feather in the cap of our fearless and undaunted judiciary. Another confirmed terrorist walks free.

  3. Free more terrorists. Turn this country into a bigger mess than it already is in. But no no arrest more 14 year old Christian children. Stupid b'ds.
