Furniture and other items worth thousands of rupees were burnt to ashes when a fire broke out in a godown of furniture at Chappar stop, Samanabad, on Sunday. On information, Rescue 1122 fire service reached the spot and put out the fire after hectic efforts. However, no loss of life was reported and the cause of the fire was stated to be a short circuit.
