Flood in River Indus inundated 10 villages and damaged crops cultivated at hundreds of acres of land here on Saturday.
According to details, high level of water in River Indus inundated more than 100 houses in 10 villages of district Layyah besides destroying crops at hundreds of acres.
The residents of the villages affected by erosion of River Indus have been shifted to safer places.
The district administration has directed the Revenue Department to facilitate the displaced persons.
Meanwhile, provincial government has also issued orders to district administration to provide emergency aid to the affected families.
