Rains play havoc in Balochistan

Torrential rains have played havoc in different parts of Balochistan inundating several areas in Loralai city and suburbs.
Flash flood has caused severe damage to standing crops and orchards while countless muddy houses have collapsed forcing the people to shift from the areas including Loni Abad, Kali Kanobi, Kali New bower and Kali Maghol.
Katch Ammaq Dam is overflowing and water has started discharging from spillway due to heavy showers.
Heavy rains have disrupted the normal life in district Zhob, however, no loss to life has been reported.
Commissioner Zhob division Ikhtiar Khan Bangalzai said situation was under control following the horrific rains in the division. Spillways have been opened due to heavy inflows of water in Ammak zai dam but no damage has been done to the dam. However Loralai area has been affected in flashflood. District administration has sent teams therein.
Four members of a family including a woman and a baby girl are reported to have been swept away by the flooding water in district Qilla Saifullah.
The deluge in Much stream has led to sweep away suigas pipeline resulting into suspension of sui gas supply to the area.
