Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will be included in the ongoing investigations by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in the Rs 7 billion Ephedrine drug scam. According to ANF sources, Gilani would be included in interrogation because of illegally appointing Zafar Iqbal Lak as Anti-Narcotics secretary. Gilani promoted Zafar Iqbal Lak from Grade 21 to 22 as anti-narcotics secretary after the surfacing of the ephedrine scandal.
Sources said that after becoming secretary, Lak tried to influence the investigations in a bid to protect former PM’s son Ali Musa Gilani, and kept on meddling in the ANF’s affairs. According to sources, the ANF, after formally nominating Zafar Iqbal as an accused in the case, has obtained the warrants for his arrest.

  1. We want to see Gilani & his sons hanged. Anything less will be an injustice against the people of Pakistan.

  2. Nobody is above law. If Gilani can be interrogated, why can't Iftikhar Chaudhry, his wife and all children (his family enjoyed European excursions) be also interrogated in Familygate?

  3. i already know what gilani will say against drug charges "either you want democracy or dictorship" (after all democratic is the best revenge against poor of pakistan)

  4. One should not jump into conclusion, rather wait for the outcome of investigation.Language used should be polite.Justice should be done. Nobody is above the law.

    • Nobody is above the law??? really???? unless you are Zardari,PM,MPA,MNA or any minister, then you are above the law because you have immunity, thank you PPP.
